Computer Lab Rules

  • No food or drink.
  • No talking on cell phones.
  • No personal software (this includes games). We have the authority to confiscate all personal electronics.
  • No behaving in a manner disruptive to other students.
  • No abusing the equipment.

1. For any hardware, software, printer, paper, or ink problems, please contact the CMS.

2. No obnoxious or belligerent behavior will be tolerated.

3. Activities in the lab(s) that are considered by the lab CMS to be abusive to the software, hardware, and\or personnel may result in expulsion from the lab(s) and denial of future use of the lab(s).

4. The lab CMS is here to help when they can and to maintain the labs' operation. However, the lab CMS is not here to do your work for you.

5. Lab users must sign in and out of their own accounts in the lab.

6. Students should come to the lab ready to work, stay in their seats and be respectful to other students who are also busy working.  

7. Students are not allowed to print without Teacher permission and it must be class related.

YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE LAB/CLASSROOM FOR VIOLATING ANY OF THE ABOVE RULES.

Lab Assistance: the Lab Computer Media Specialist (CMS) is available to help; however, we request that you attempt the assignment on your own before asking for help - the best way to learn is through trial and error. The lab CMS may not be familiar with your particular assignment or problem, or they have been asked not to help on specific assignments; therefore, if you have a problem, please be aware that you might be referred to your instructor for help. If this is the case, please write your question down and ask the instructor the following class day.

  1. What are the Computer Lab hours?

    Fall, Winter and Spring Term Open Lab Hours

    • Monday - Thursday, 8:20 am - 4:15 pm
    • Friday, and 8:20 am - 8:50 am
    • Summer Term Open Lab Hours –Closed
    • Closed on Weekends and Term Breaks.

  2. How do I sign into the computers in the labs? How do I log into the computer labs?

    a)  Type your assigned ID number (No spaces or hyphens) as your user name.

    b)  Type your created or assigned password (Press Enter or ok.)

    c) You have now completed the log-in process. Please remember to sign in and out.

  3. Computer Lab Printing

Print Allowance:

Students may print class related work, however if you print beyond your required class allowance work, you may cause the lab to run out of print allowance and will have to purchase more in order for others to print.
